For the past couple of weeks, my life has been immersed in job applications and picking up long neglected projects, including organizing photos and music, cleaning out my stuff, and starting to knit again after a 6 month hiatus (well, it’s a lot harder to be motivated to knit when the weather is warm and the outdoors call).
I am now working on two knitting projects: A scarf for my Australian friend Dan (that was supposed to be finished 6 months ago and that admittedly I’ve barely started) and a patchwork blanket made out of the tons of scrap yarn I have acquired over the past couple of years. The blanket will be 100 6″ square pieces, and so far I have about 12. It turns out I actually may need more scrap yarn since what I had I went through quickly since I doubled up the worsted weight yarn so that I could put it with the bulky yarn and have a consistent thickness. I guess I need to get knitting!
Here is a picture of the squares have so far, as well as a picture of a blanket I made my mother for Christmas last year (it took me this long to remember to take a picture of it). Let me tell you, that was a beast! Also. The cat’s name is Cleo if any of you were wondering.
