Herons can be beautiful!
The knee is rapidly getting better! I can actually sit in a chair now (knee flexed at 90 degrees) and today I took my first few crutch-free steps in the brace. For 3.5 weeks in, not bad!
Well, I’m alive! I’m healing up nicely from the surgery but unfortunately I can’t bend my leg and it really doesn’t like being placed below 90 degrees from my body. So, the mass editing and posting will have to wait until I can sit at my computer in a chair for any length of time. Maybe next week? But think of all of the knitting and TV I’ve caught up on!!
Anyways, here’s one of the last photos I took before surgery, at a monitoring gig in the south bay. What a pretty snake!
I’ve got my big knee/hip surgery tomorrow, and although it’s elective and will basically solve a lot of the problems I’ve had, I’m still nervous.
But, to make some humor out of it, tomorrow I’ll be passed out hardcore; much like this male elephant seal. Tee hee!
I saw my first ladybug of the year yesterday. Turns out I already had a photo of this, from 2010!
